Medical Age Management's top priority is you!

To Our Valued Patients:
At Medical Age Management, the safety of our team members and our patients is our highest priority. We are committed to continue serving and supporting you - without exception. As the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have an increased impact on our community, we feel it is important to connect directly with you to share more about the steps we are taking across our office to help our patients and our team members stay safe and healthy. Please note that our office IS open, and we are running on our normal schedule, but we are taking the necessary steps to protect the health and well-being of our patients and their families.

In the office:
We are following current state and CDC guidelines, as well as constantly monitoring the CDC website for any new updates. (CDC COVID-19 homepage: )

Our offices are constantly cleaned and sanitized and over the past few weeks, we've increased the frequency and extent of our cleanings and are wiping down all surfaces in between patients

We have placed hand sanitizers in each room of the office and are offering face masks and/or gloves to all patients

We are providing the option to switch to phone or FaceTime appointments to any patients who would prefer, as well as asking patients not to come into the office if they’re feeling ill or feverish

Steps you can take:
Avoid crowded places and keep a 6-foot distance when having conversations

Wash hands with proper technique for at least 20 seconds with soap and water and avoid touching your eyes, face, nose and mouth

If you have mild symptoms such as a cough, low grade fever, sore throat, and no shortness of breath, isolate yourself and stay home. **Remember there is no cure for this virus, only supportive care. So, the best thing you can do is stay home, get your rest, fluids, etc. However, if you are feeling short of breath, can’t catch your breath or having difficulty breathing, then DEFINITELY go to the ER - this can be rapidly progressive and life-threatening. We need to use our hospital and ER system wisely and save the test kits and hospital beds for the very sick and critically ill. However, don’t risk your health. If in doubt, go get checked out. Testing centers are popping up all over now and there will be great availability of testing probably by the end of this week.

Should I keep my appointment?

Yes, keep your existing appointments, as our office will remain open to serve our patients’ needs. Again, for your safety and comfort, we are also offering the option to switch your in-person appointments to phone or FaceTime/video appointments.

If you are unwell and experiencing a fever, cough or shortness of breath, we ask you to please contact us at (619) 795-6700 to reschedule your appointment. We will do everything we can to accommodate a new appointment time for you.

With warm regards,
Dr. Farnesi and the team at Medical Age Management
