In a recent study, it’s been discovered that there seems to be a link between love and heightened brain activity. Six different kinds of love were tested, and researchers found that each one elicited different levels of intensity and therefore, resulted in stronger brain activity; parental love tends to trigger the strongest activation in the brain’s reward system, whereas compassionate love for strangers displayed less brain activity.
